Nancy Jean Garrett

Nancy Jean Garrett, age 77 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Nancy was born June 10, 1946 to the late Frank and Minnie (Carter) Stroud in Hayesville, North Carolina. She was a member of Saved by Grace church. 

 

Nancy loved to read her Bible and go to church. She enjoyed taking walks outside, cookouts with her family and going to yard sales. She was a true caretaker at heart; often helping others when needed. 

 

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Garrett; brothers, Jay Stroud, Jerry Stroud, Keith Stroud. She is survived by her sons; Brian Garrett, Dean (Barbie) Garrett; sisters, Mary Nichols, Peggy Mashburn, Judy Smith; grandchildren, Shawna Lynn (Josh) Cramer, Cody (Dakota) Parker; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

 

Graveside service: Saturday, June 17, 2023at Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. Shannon Burrell and Billy Trotter officiating.
