Nora Lee Garrett

Mrs. Nora Lee Garrett, age 76 of Hiawassee, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020. She was born November 29, 1943 to the late H.E. and Gladys (White) Underwood in Hiawassee, GA. Nora Lee was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. Family was important to Nora. Many times she thought of others before herself. She had an amazing sense of humor, was down to earth and loved to cut up. Nora Lee enjoyed sewing and spent many years using that gift to provide for her family. 
Nora Lee is preceded in death by her parents; her husband T.J. Garrett; and sister Jeanette Chastain.
She is survived in death by her sons and daughter in laws; Darrell and Rhonda Garrett, and Edward and Shelley Garrett; daughter Melissa Garrett with Neal Davis; sister, JoAnn McClure. Grandchildren; Ashley Moore, Duane Stamps, Ethan Garrett, Adam Garrett, Levi Wachacha, Lace Grindstaff, and Justin Towery; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, March 13, 2020 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
Service: Friday, March 13, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. 
Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
