Odena NULL Denton

Mrs. Odena Ferguson Denton, age 68 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 following a period of declining health. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter. She was born to the late Hugh and Maebell (Shook) Ferguson on May 23, 1941 in Towns County, GA. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Leslie Denton, of Hayesville, NC; son, Timothy Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; brother, David Ferguson, of Hiawassee, GA; sisters, Sue Ferguson, of Hiawassee, GA; Ilene Dailey, of Hiawassee, GA; Imogene Cheeks, of Greenville, SC; Linda Johnson, of Commerce, GA; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Terry Dailey officiating. Pallbearers were Chris Denton, Josh Denton, Buddy Littleton, David Ferguson and Michael Dills. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to: Banister Funeral Home, P.O. Box 70, Hiawassee, GA 30546 to offset funeral expenses. Interment will be in Lower Hightower Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
