Mr. Paul Wayne Byers age 66 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Monday April 07,2008 following a sudden illness. He was born to the late Woodrow and Irene (Byers) Byers on April 02, 1942 in Clay County, NC. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sandra Byers, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter, Tonya Nichols, of Hiawassee, GA; sons, Mark Byers and Justin Byers, both of Hiawassee, GA; brothers, Fred Byers, of Warne, NC; Jack Byers, of Warne, NC; Lawrence Byers, of Hayesville, NC; Roy Lee Byers, of Murphy, NC; Thomas Byers, of Hayesville, NC; sister, Helen Shaeringhouser, of IL; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Stephens Federal Bank, 89 Franks Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546 for medical expenses.
