Randy Lamar Owenby

Randy Lamar Owenby, age 52, of Hiawassee GA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on February 22, 1972, Randy was a devoted Husband, Dad, Paw-Paw, Son, Brother, Son-in-law, Brother-in-law, Uncle, and Friend whose kind heart and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Ledford Owenby, and their five children, Steven Owenby (Tiffany), Jacob Owenby (Cloie), Paisley Owenby, Addalee Owenby, and Ellie Owenby. Paw-Paw to Jessie Mae Owenby, Rosaleigh-Jean Presley Owenby, and Oaklynn Ava-Grace Owenby. He was the cherished son of Truman and Gail Owenby of Hiawassee, and a loving brother to Terry Owenby. He was a beloved uncle to 5 nieces and 4 nephews, who all brought him endless love and happiness.

Randy’s love for The Lord and raising his family to love The Lord was his greatest desire. He loved the outdoors, bird watching, and spending time with his family.

Randy had a passion for cooking and loved nothing more than preparing meals for his family and friends. Whether it was a backyard barbeque or a home-cooked feast, he found joy in bringing people together over good food and laughter. Spending time with his loved ones made every moment with him special.

Randy will be remembered for his unwavering love, his infectious laughter, and the way he could light up a room with his presence. His legacy of kindness, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. 

We are forever grateful for the time we shared and your memory will continue to inspire and warm our hearts. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later.
