Richard Norbert Ross

Richard Norbert Ross, age 88, of Hayesville, North Carolina passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Richard was born May 5, 1928 to the late Mr. Edward and Stella (Walkowski) Rutkowski in Detroit Michigan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn (McCarthy) Ross, children Nancy (Richard) Engert, Judy Ward, Terry Mursell, Edward (Patricia) Ross, Lory (Ken) Freeman, and Timothy (Tina) Ross. He also leaves 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many loving neices, nephews and friends.

Preceeding him in death are beloved daughter Kathy (John) Leighton and dear son in law James (Terry) Mursell.

Richard attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in Hayesville, NC. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Richard and Marilyn were devotedly married for 67 years. Richard worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and has been retired for 30 years. He and Marilyn resided in Hayesville, NC.
