Robbie Jean Mauldin

Robbie Jean "Bob" (McKinney) Mauldin age 89 of Hiawassee passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Robbie Jean was born May 6, 1928 in Hiawassee, Georgia to the late Evon and Abbie (Parker) McKinney. She was known to most as Granny even before she had grandchildren. She loved to trout fish, even in the coldest weather you could find her fishing at the river. Robbie Jean also enjoyed her garden, sewing and crafts. She was married to the late Horace Arvil Mauldin for 68 years before he passed in 2015.  
Robbie Jean is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Lynn and LaRanda Mauldin of Hiawassee and two granddaughters; Abby Rosa and Anna Laura Mauldin. She is preceded in death by two sons; Kent Mauldin and infant son Keith Mauldin. 
Visitation: Sunday, February 11, 2018, from 5:00-8:00PM at Banister Funeral Home 
Services: Monday, February 12, 2018 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Dye officiating.
Pallbearers: Daren Osborn, Doug Chambers, Peyton Chambers, Jack Taylor, Roger Hicks, and Dusty Maney
Interment will follow in the Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
