Ruby L Colwell

Mrs. Ruby Ledford Colwell, age 90 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2007 following a period of declining health. She was born to the late Elbert and Laura (Nichols) Ledford on March 24, 1917 in Walker County, AL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Colwell and Neal E. McNabb; a twin sister, Ruth Campbell; a daughter, Betty Ruth Helton; and a son, Donald Gene McNabb. She is survived by one son and daughter -in-law, Tommy L. and Jimmye McNabb, of Hiawassee, GA; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, eighteen great, great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Youngblood officiating. Music was provided by Julia Youngblood. Pallbearers were Johnathan Helton, Patrick Gibson, Robert McNabb, Randall McNabb, Dwayne Helton, Bobby McNabb and Jason McNabb. Interment was in Lower Bell Creek cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
