Ruby Mae Tuttle

Mrs. Ruby Belton Tuttle, 96, of Hiawassee, GA, formerly of Burlington, NC, passed away on Monday March 13, 2017. A native of Ridgeway, VA, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Margie Bell Belton. She was a proud foster parent of over 35 children whom needed help, some of which she raised from birth to adulthood. She was a faithful member of Glen Hope Baptist Church for 68 years where she was a charter member of the Gold Star Sunday School Class and volunteered with numerous activities at the Church. She was known to put the needs of other above her own. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and crocheting. Survivors include her children, LaVonne Tuttle Truett and husband RL, of Hiawassee, GA, Bynum Tuttle Jr. and wife Gigi, of Denton, NC, Jerry Tuttle and wife Josie, of Spring Lake, NC and Pam Tuttle Thompson and husband Mark, of Atlanta, GA; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Belton; sisters, Dorothy Hicks, Ruth Taylor and Martha Harbour, and many loving nieces and nephews/ In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bynum R. Tuttle, Sr.; brothers, Daniel, David, James, Lee, Moses, Samuel and Ruben Belton; sister Mary Keen. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday March 19, 2017 at the Glen Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Saturday March 18, 2017 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
