Sharon Speed

Sharon Louise Speed, age 68, of Gainesville, Georgia, formerly of Grayson, Hoschton and Young Harris, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 28, 1954 in Young Harris, Georgia to Mr. Julian Stephens and the late Mrs. Alline Underwood Stephens. Sharon attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church and House of Glory. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a member of the Sassy Stitchers sewing club and enjoyed sewing and quilting over the years. Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed time with her family and outings with her friends. 

 

Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Alline Stephens; grandson, Jackson Lammey; and brother, Bill Stephens. She is survived by her father, Julian Stephens; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Wes Lammey; sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Kelly Speed, and Mark and Emily Speed; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and Stephanie Stephens, and David and Cam Stephens; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caroline and Jake Speed; Elijah, Gabe, Macie, Jeremiah, Isaac, and Lillie Lammey; Chase, Christian and Max Speed; along with a host of extended family and friends. 

 

Visitation: Friday, November 4, 2022 12:00-3:00PM at Old Union Baptist Church. 

Funeral: Friday, November 4, 2022 at 3:00PM at Old Union Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Page and Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
