Sonnia Gassi Moneypenney

Sonia Moneypenny, a beacon of hope and kindness, transitioned to be with the Lord at Brasstown Manor on April 21, 2024.  Leaving behind a legacy of service as a beloved Member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7807, Hiawassee, GA for over three decades she dedicated her life to serving others including President of the local Auxiliary and in various offices at the District and State Auxiliaries, offering love and compassion to the Veterans and their wives. Sonia also served at the Veterans Hospital in Atlanta.  Sonia was so involved with those she loved; she even hosted the monthly birthday parties at Chatuge Nursing home, bringing joy to all her friends. Her boundless compassion und unwavering commitment to serving others earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.  Sonia's legacy will continue to inspire us all to live with purpose and kindness.
