Souphone Worajak, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Young Harris, Georgia on Tuesday, March 9. 2021. He was born on February 20, 1943 in Thailand to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bounma and Pout Worajak. Souphone is survived by his adoring wife, Mrs. Phonesy Worajak; daughters, Noi Worajak, Kim Worajak, Susan Worajak; son, E.T. Worajak; grandchildren, Alex Lim, Mai Lim, Annie Stewart, Diane Turpin, Sonny Mouangkham, Aubree Worakak, Nomanee Worajak, Emmanuel Worajak; great grandchildren, Anaiya Stewart, Carter Stewart, Logan Turpin and Adaline Turpin; and a number of extended family and friends also survive.
Souphone was a General in the Laos military. He loved to sing, dance and had a jokester personality. Souphone was young at heart and always the life of the party even at the grocery store.. Souphone's family recalls his love of sweets and says he had a "sweet tooth", a trait he passed down to his younger generation. He enjoyed his family, loved for everyone to get together and just spend quality time together. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
