Steve N Mercer

Mr. Steve Noland Mercer, age 57 of Hiawassee, GA fell asleep in death, early Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Mrs. Merry Mercer and children, Stacy Lynn Russell and her husband Kevin; Steven Landon Mercer and his wife Jamie, all of Hiawassee, GA. He was blessed with seven grandsons, T.J. (15 yrs.), Tyler (12 yrs.), Evan (3 yrs.), Lane (8 months), Carson (13 yrs.), Camren (8 yrs.) and Ian (5 yrs.). Steve is also survived by six sisters and brothers, Barbara Smith, Gail Weaver, Ellen Dimsdale, and Paul Mercer, all of St. Augustine, FL; Billi Ruth Osteen, Robert Mercer, both of Palatka, FL. Steve was born and raised in St. Augustine, FL and after fifty years moved his family to the North GA Mtns where he lived out his life enjoying his yard and family. He was loved by so many and will be remembered as a dedicated family man. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 4:00 PM from the home on 776 Amethyst Ln. Hiawassee, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Banister Funeral Home, P.O.Box 70, Hiawassee, GA 30546 to offset funeral expenses.
