Sue J Sistrunk

Mrs. Sue Sistrunk, age 85, of Blairsville, GA formerly of Young Harris passed away Sunday January 27, 2008 following a period declining health. Mrs. Sistrunk was born in Clay County, NC to the late Lweis and Dollie Smith Fuller. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs Dolly Sue Rogers of Blairsville, GA, Mrs Colleen Swanson of Blairsville, GA, Mrs. Julie Queen of Brasstown, NC; six sons: Robert David Sistrunk, Jr. of Young Harris, GA, James Stuart Sistrunk of Brasstown, NC, Jerry Lewis Sistrunk of Sac City, IA, Ernie Lee Sistrunk of Carercro, LA, John Glenn Sistrunk of Charleston, SC and Ronnie Warren Sistrunk of Hayesville, NC; five sisters: Lois Price of Hayesville, NC, Magnolia Ballard of Gainesville, GA, Idell Shook of Hiawassee, GA, Jeanette Fonville of Tunnel Hill, GA, Joy Crow of Monroe, GA, 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David Sistrunk, Sr. and a sister Odell Shook. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 29, 2008 from the Woods Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Heard, Rev. Wofford Kelley and the Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Interment was in the Laural Hills Memory Garden. Music was provided by Sarah and Wofford Kelley and Everett Moss. Sons served as pallbearers and grandsons as honorary pall bearers. Banister Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
