Suzanne C. Morlen

Suzanne C. Morlen, age 80 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023. Suzanne was born March 8, 1943 to the late Edwin and Louis (Haney) Cox in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a nurse for over 45 years working at Northside Hospital as well as Towns County High School. After retiring she was an avid reader of all of the medical books and journals. Suzanne was a very compassionate and loving person who loved her family, tennis and animals. Over the years she had always been involved with the Mountain Shelter and saved many cats and dogs herself as well as adopting several of both over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jack Morlen; sons, Todd(Peggy)Morlen, Matthew(Leslie)Morlen; grandchildren, Payton Morlen, Dalton Luke, Alice Morlen, Abigail Morlen. She also leaves behind many lifelong friends that she also considered family.
