Carolyn Sue Wilson

 

Carolyn Sue Wilson, age 81, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil and Arlyssa (Green) Wheeler on February 13, 1942 in Hiawassee, Georgia. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She enjoyed family gatherings, hosting baby showers and birthday parties, and she was the first one up cooking for these special occasions. She was a God fearing woman who told her family "I walk with the Man who holds the plan" in troubled times. She will be deeply missed. 

 

She is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; husband, Ira Wilson; son, Mark Wilson; and siblings, Sara Gunn, Larry Wheeler, Kathy Ross and Lola Mae Wilson. She leaves behind daughters, Sharon (Richard) Corti, Kem Moxley, Joy Ayers, and Heather (Brad) Fields; son, Brent Wilson; brothers, Mikey Wheeler, Virgil "Tiny" Wheeler, and David Wheeler; sisters, Vickie Ledford, Joan Rodgers, and Linda Dyer; ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive.
