Vera May Turpin, age 62, of Rabun Gap passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 after an extended illness. Vera was born on September 20, 1961 to the late Okie Vincent Fisher and Viola Marie Plaster Fisher in Baltimore, Maryland. She was known as "Bird" to many and was a very spiritual Christian. Being outdoors and riding around was how she enjoyed her downtime. She was a collector of sentimental items and loved being with her family. Vera was a proud Nana to nine grandchildren; Cloey, Tyler, Lila, Caidon, Anthoni, Quintin, Annalise, Riley and Korben. She is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents and brother, Roy Vincent Fisher. She leaves behind her sons, Phillip Leon Lampert, Jonathan Wayne Lambert, and David Lee Lambert; brother, Robert Larry Lodge; sisters Marlene Thomas, Diane Hermon and Kathy Tuggle.
Family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
