Violet Alma Brown

Violet Alma Brown, age 69 of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. Violet was born December 31, 1953 to the late Miles and Delia (Tow) Taylor in Hiawassee, Georgia. She was a member at Lower Hightower Baptist Church. Over the years she worked at Orbit, Levi's, and Owenby's as a seamstress. Music was her passion, she loved to play and write songs and also loved to play poker. Her son Ben was her baby boy and light of her life. She was a very feisty but yet tender hearted, outspoken woman who loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; love of her life, Benny Brown; brothers, David Taylor, Bud Taylor, Raymond Taylor, Harvey Taylor, John Taylor, Floyd Taylor; sisters, Margaret Ledford, Dorothy Cantrell, Glenda Neace, Carol Moore, Deborah Taylor; companion/caregiver, Bill Hunnicutt. She is survived by her son, Ben Brown; brother, Michael Taylor; sisters, Cathy Oakley, Sadie Sullens; granddaughter, Monroe Belle Warnock; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.

 

Visitation: Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1:00-2:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.

Memorial Service: Friday, September 15, 2023 at 2:00pm at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home with Rev. Raburne Wilson officiating.

Banister-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Brown.
