Wade Harold Duffey

Mr. Wade Harold Duffey, age 77, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Hiawassee after an extended illness. Wade was born on September 23, 1942 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Ellen (Adair) Duffey in Atlanta, Georgia. Wade was a member of Mt.Zion Baptist Church, a faithful husband, loving father,and a true servant of the Lord. He was a hard worker; his first career was with General Motors and then he worked for Georgia Power. He was entrepreneurial in buying a dump truck and offering his own dump truck business before going to work with Consolidated Freightways, and he even drove a school bus for Clayton County. He was a chairmen of the deacons at Pinecrest Baptist Church of Morrow, Ga and drove the children's church school bus for twenty-five years. Wade is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Pat Duffey; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Wendy Duffey of Seymour, TN, Bill and Suzanne Duffey of Dahlonega, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Joe Harbin of Hiawassee, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Don Colemen; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family. 
Visitation: Friday January 17, 2020 at Mt Zion Baptist Church  1:00-2:00 
Funeral: Friday January 17, 2020 at Mt Zion Baptist Church at 2:00PM with Rev. Anthony Dye officiating. 
Interment to follow in the Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery
