Wilda Mae Bishop, age 75, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away from complications of kidney disease. Wilda was born to the late Cline and Ruth Moss in Hiawassee, Georgia on January 05, 1948. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Wilda was a surgical nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for over thirty years. She was the definition of tough; her battle with kidney disease was a prime example; she fought through the pain of her illnesses and life. She was born a caretaker; along with caring for her patients she looked after her mother, husband, and mother-in-law before their passing. Wilda was very meticulous; everything in her life had order to it from her house to the way she carried herself. She enjoyed cooking and quilting in her downtime. Of all the things special about Wilda, her belief in the power of prayer was at the top of the list.
Wilda was preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; her husband, Jerrel Bishop; and brothers, Jack, Bob, Bruce and Knox. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Joe Rumfelt, Madge and John Oswald; brother Hugh Dayton along with a number of nieces and nephews.
