William Evans

Mr. William Evans, age 93 of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 following a period of declining health. He was born to the late Walter and Hazel (Woods) Webb on May 23, 1918 in Eric, NY. He was loved and cared for by a very special friend, Joyce Pennock. Survived by  two daughters, Karen Hallett, of Largo, FL; Laurel Marshall and Al, of Hayesville, NC; two sons, Doug Evans and Roger Evans, both of Warne, NC; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:30PM from Old Union Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Ken Fuller officiating. Honor Guard in charge of military honors. Interment was in Old Union Baptist Church cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
