William “Bill” Scoggins

William Henry Scoggins, age 78 of Blairsville, Georgia , passed away on Friday , May 28, 2021 after a period of declining health. Bill was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Doris (Wooten) Scoggins in Atlanta, Georgia on July 31, 1942. Through his career, he was a serial entrepreneur, owning and running many different companies, He was a  former member of Hiawassee United Methodist Church where he loved his church family and enjoyed being active in the community. He was a member in the Hapeville Lions Club for many years, even serving as its president, and was on the volunteer Fire Department in Fayette County before moving to Blairsville. Bill also enjoyed traveling and hiking. He was a kind and out going person who will be missed. He is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents and wife Brenda Carey Scoggins. Surviving are his son, Kyle Scoggins; daughter, Christi Scoggins; and grandchildren, Lee Rouse, David Scoggins and Katy Scoggins.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Memorial Service will be  Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00PM at Banister-Cooper Funeral Home.
